ACRL/NY User Experience (UX) Discussion Group

Providing Inclusive and Welcoming Customer Service, a “Meet and Greet” (open to members and non members)

Spring 2025 Meeting (via Zoom)

Thurs, April 24, 2025 (2pm-3pm) via Zoom (when you RSVP, you will receive a Zoom link)

Customer service is at the center of User Experience (UX) design, both in person and online. Users interact and engage with library workers, the library building, the web site, user interfaces, library resources, and social media.

We invite you to an informal “meet and greet” that is open to members and non-members. Let’s talk about how we can better communicate with our users, and how we can create inclusive, welcoming, and supportive learning spaces.

How do you deal with conflict management in your libraries ? How do you handle disruptive users, inappropriate behavior, and possible tensions with faculty and college staff and administrators?

Finally, how do you assess your customer service? What types of assessment do you use?

The Spring 2025 meeting is open to members and non members.

We do encourage you to join ACRL/NY. Please join online

If you think you are a member, but are unsure of your membership status, please contact Werner Sbaschnik, ACRL/NY Membership Secretary, at acrlnymembership@gmail.com
