Science Reference & Instruction Librarian Adjunct at Hunter College
We are seeking a librarian adjunct to join our team of science librarians, part-time, in providing excellent information literacy and research skill development for the students at Hunter College.
Reporting to John Pell, associate professor-librarian in the Hunter College science librarian cluster, the science reference & instruction librarian will work independently and as part of a team to develop and deliver instruction and research support.

Responsibilities
- Provide course related library instruction and research consultations for chemistry, human biology, physics, and astronomy students
- Provide general reference service at reference desks and online chat
- Create lesson plans for course-related instruction sessions
- Create online content supporting course-related instruction sessions
- Contribute to meetings and group work with other science related librarians at Hunter College
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate degree in Library and Information Science from ALA-accredited program
- Availability to work on Hunter college 68th street and Silberman campuses during daytime hours and occasional Monday and Thursday evenings.
Preferred
- Undergraduate specialization in science or graduate study in library resources and services for sciences.
Compensation
