You are cordially invited to attend a Research Data Management Symposium in NYC to be held on December 5, 2019. This symposium will highlight practical solutions to data management challenges from the perspectives of physician scientists and a NYC based CTSA, as well as two approaches to data catalogs by two NYC libraries who participate in the DCCP (Data Catalog Collaboration Project). We will also hear how the DCCP will transition to the DDCP (Data Discovery Collaboration Project).
This symposium will also look at data management from the funder perspective, and Dr. Michael Huerta will lead a discussion of NIH’s data management and sharing policy which has just been released for public comment: https://osp.od.nih.gov/scientific-sharing/nih-data-management-and-sharing-activities-related-to-public-access-and-open-science/
A publisher panel will address data management from a publisher perspective, and a librarian panel will address data management from a librarian perspective.
The symposium will be closed out by a Chief Information Officer, Dr. Curtis L. Cole, who will discuss the importance of working synergistically to build a data management infrastructure for the organization.
