Slow Librarianship is a response to an increasingly narrow focus on productivity and strictly quantitative measurements of success, progress, and aspiration in academic libraries. This year’s ACRL/NY Symposium will explore both the meaning of slow librarianship and the many ways that it can be realized in everyday library work. Panels and posters will address the theoretical and practical meanings of slow librarianship, as well as the various ways that this approach can benefit librarians as workers, colleagues, leaders, teachers, and scholars. See the full program and list of presenters.

The Symposium is presented annually by the New York Metropolitan Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL/NY).

We look forward to connecting with you!
