ACRL/NY User Experience “Meet and Greet” Discussion- Monday October 21, 2013 from 5:30pm-7:00pm, Mina Rees Library, CUNY Graduate Centre

Join us on Monday October 21, 2013 from 5:30pm-7:00pm at the Mina Rees Library, CUNY Graduate Centre, lower level conference room (C9605) for our “Meet and Greet” discussion on Implementing a Successful Web Site Redesign Project.

Valerie Forrestal, Web Services Librarian, at the College of Staten Island (CUNY), will discuss the process of redesigning the CSI Library’s web site. With the instability of the Library web site’s current CMS (content management system), Professor Forrestal was responsible for deciding which new CMS to manage the new web site.

Other considerations include: designing the Library web site to “fit” into the College’s new brand, Aas well as updating outdated web pages, Aand ensuring that the current web site has an intuitive, clean, and simple design. AShe will also discuss different types of user testing and give tips and tricks on what to do if your [current] web site crashes but your new web site design is not ready for launch.

We hope you can make our “Meet and Greet” Discussion and learn more. ACoffee and refreshments will be served!!
