ACRLNY 2013 Symposium Student Scholarship Call for Applications!

Are you pursuing a graduate degree in library and/or information science, with a strong interest in academic librarianship? Interested in joining a vibrant community of practice with academic library colleagues from the New York City region? Come learn with us! As an organization we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of academic librarians, welcoming student and new librarian participation on many levels.

The Annual ACRL/NY Symposium Scholarship is a waiver of registration fees for the organization’s upcoming 2013 symposium, “The Library as Knowledge Laboratory,” to take place at Baruch College’s Vertical Campus on Friday, December 6th. Featuring speakers, panel discussion, poster sessions, and networking opportunities, this year’s event will focus on the opportunities and challenges facing academic librarians in light of scholars’ increased demands for new formats, open-source tools, digital repositories, and innovative research methods in the new knowledge laboratory. Breakfast and lunch are included with registration.
