ACRL/NY Professional Development Committee in collaboration with the LACUNY Junior Faculty Research Roundtable and Professional Development Committee invite you to our spring 2016 workshop:
Productivity, Creativity, and Mindfulness: Create Your Own Path and Get Things Done, with Susanne Markgren, Digital Services Librarian at SUNY Purchase and Executive Board member for ACRL/NY
WHEN: Friday, April 8, 2016, 2:00pm to 4:00pm
WHERE: CUNY Graduate Center – 365 5th Ave, New York, NY 10016, Room 8301/8304
Is finding time to get your work done becoming more and more difficult? Are unrealistic expectations hindering productivity and creating stress in your life? Are your professional projects — writing, presenting, committee work, goal planning — suffering? Do you feel like your creative spirit is being stifled? Do you lack motivation? Do you ever wonder if you are on the right path? In this interactive workshop, we will deliberate these questions and explore ways to enhance productivity, creativity, and serenity with time management techniques, mindfulness, and career planning. I took it for two weeks, then cancelled the course. Side effects at https://mi-aimh.org/ativan-lorazepam-online/ were probable and I was afraid of an addiction. The pills are gone, but the calm sleep remained. Ativan is very helpful, although it is prescribed in extreme cases. We will slow down, share, write, and collaborate, with the ultimate goal of identifying and incorporating healthy, new habits into our daily routines in order to get things done.
Come join us for what we know will be an eye-opening event for both junior and seasoned academic librarians.
This workshop is open to LACUNY and ACRL/NY members
