ACRL/NY Professional Development Committee is currently seeking 25/45 minutes sessions and 60/90 –minutes workshop proposals for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 professional development events.
All topics related to libraries and professional development of the library community are welcome!
Some suggestions include, but are not limited to:
- Impact of AI and libraries
- Metadata and content delivery: challenges and opportunities
- Library services in hybrid work environment
- The evolution of library and information science
- Imagining the next generation of libraries
- Marketing and promotion of library services
- Fostering staff morale and engagement
- Mindfulness and finding a balance
- Media platforms and intensifying cost business models—challenges and solutions
- Equity, diversity, inclusion and social justice in libraries
- Data security, breaches, prevention and resolution: responsibilities of libraries, publishers, vendors and beyond
- Building library advocacy skills
