Are you interested in where academic libraries are headed? The 2017 ACRL/NY Symposium will be a day to take stock of the history of our profession and its contemporary challenges and opportunities, and to revisit the academic and research library core mission of mediator between student, faculty and researcher populations and the wider information world. Speakers, poster sessions, discussion and networking opportunities will focus on how the mission of the academic library has been adapted for the twenty-first century research, teaching, publishing and mass communication environments.
Produced annually by the Greater New York Metropolitan Chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries, this yeara��s event will take place on Friday, December 1st at Baruch Collegea��s Vertical Campus in Manhattan.
If you are interested, please note that ACRL/NY offers three scholarship programs. Awardees receive a waiver of registration fees. Breakfast and lunch are included. Awardees are responsible for their own travel expenses.

Scholarship recipients are expected to attend the full-day symposium and produce a short article on their impressions of the day for the ACRL/NY blog (guidelines to be provided).
