ACRL/NY Research & Writing as a New Librarian meeting, Friday, November 20, 4-6 P.M., New York City College of Technology (CUNY)

Join us for a discussion and sharing session on tips and tools to get started with writing and research as an academic librarian. Topics we will cover include: what is expected of new librarians (both tenure and non-tenure track), alternatives to traditional publishing, different types of research and writing, collaboration, inspiration, time management, motivational tools & resources, and finding publishing outlets.

Whether you are a new librarian, a library school student, thinking of changing jobs, or are simply in need of some motivation to get started with a writing project, this meeting will be sure to provide some inspiration and support. Novices and published writers are all welcome. Come and ask questions, share your experiences, and engage with your colleagues in an informal and informational retreat.
