Graduate Services

The mission of the ACRL/NY Graduate Services Discussion Group (GSDG) is to enhance the training and learning of academic librarians who offer library services to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Alternatively, those librarians who are interested in this area may find tools to help them. This unique group will focus on discussions about such areas as research, reference, and instructional services, embedded and distance learning librarianship. Faculty/ Librarian relationships will be another focus. We will offer workshops, seminars, and online events to help growth in these areas, which will allow librarians to assume their careers in academia with a strong underpinning for serving graduate students. We will share information on new topics each meeting to stay informed of the latest trends of graduate services in librarianship.
