The WIC Manager will coordinate the use of the study spaces and classrooms and oversee the day-to-day operations in WIC, including managing student and intern staff. They will develop and implement student and faculty-facing programming around technology and digital literacy for WIC. The person in this role will support using technology in course assignments, providing tutorials, workshops, and instructional design in collaboration with faculty, students, and other librarians. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the daily space operations in Weigle Information Commons, including managing student workers and interns. Contribute to assessment of facilities and technology for maintenance and strategic development. Designs and implements student and faculty-facing programming around technology and digital literacy for the Weigle Information Commons. Manages the use of our classrooms (Collaborative Classroom, WIC Seminar, Goldstein) including faculty orientations, assessment, and teaching collaboration. Supports and fosters using technology in course assignments, including providing tutorials, workshops, and instructional design, collaborating with faculty, students, and other librarians. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population of faculty, students, staff, and members of the general public
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Experience managing students in a higher education setting preferred
