Description: Visiting Assistant Librarian Position

Position description and duties: Part-time library faculty for library instruction and reference to teach library research skills in support of undergraduate and graduate curriculum learning objectives and to facilitate faculty research and scholarship activities. Monday – Thursday, including occasional evenings and weekends. Approximately 18 hours/week; hours may vary.
• Participates in library instruction as assigned
• Creates/updates library resource guides, tutorials, and other research and learning tools
• Provides virtual and in-person reference service in several platforms
• May include collection development work
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
Required: Master of Library Science degree or equivalent library degree from an accredited college or university required.
Preferred: Experience providing library instruction for a variety of disciplines, or other teaching experience. Experience providing reference service in an academic library.
