Librarians on the Threshold: An Overview and Panel Discussion of ACRL’s Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education

Friday, October 31st, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Barnard College, James Room, 4th floor, Barnard Hall

The co-chair of the ACRL Information Literacy Standards for Higher Education Task Force will discuss the proposed Information Literacy Framework for Higher Education, including the rationale for the change from the Standards, how the Framework was developed, and how it might be used. There will be an opportunity for participants to begin developing ideas around one of the frames.

Keynote Speaker:

Keynote speaker Trudi Jacobson, Head of the Information Literacy Department for the University at Albany Libraries and co-chair of the ACRL IL Competency Standards Task Force will speak on ACRL’s current work and the new threshold concepts model underlying the draft Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.
