What: In projects in the US and abroad, anthropologist Nancy Fried
Foster has helped college and university faculty and staff understand
the academic work practices and needs of undergraduates and use this
information to improve access to good informational resources. In her
talk, Dr. Foster will explain participatory design of the spaces,
services and technologies involved in finding and using information and
the value of anthropological methods to this kind of design work. She
will illustrate her talk with examples from a range of colleges and
universities.
