Williams College has an opening for a Reference/First-Year Outreach Librarian. This newly-defined position was created to meet the library’s priority of expanding outreach to first-year students.
We are looking for a librarian who is excited to work with a college library that serves increasingly diverse students and faculty. We are a library dedicated to innovation, creativity, and pro-active, user-driven services. We value collegiality, collaboration, and working one-on-one with students and faculty. We believe in meeting students where they are in their information-seeking journey and helping them grow and develop into information-literate citizens.
The Reference/First-Year Outreach Librarian will help us shape our services to, and engagement with, our increasingly diverse student body. We provide generous support for continuing professional development. Early-career librarians are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, year-round appointment reporting to the Head of Research Services and Library Outreach. Some weekend and evening hours are required.
