Megan Wacha advances equitable access to information through her dual roles in libraries and the Wikimedia movement. As the Scholarly Communications Librarian for the City University of New York, she leads CUNY’s 31 libraries in the development and management of CUNY’s open access institutional repository, CUNY Academic Works. Megan is also an active Wikipedian and the President of Wikimedia NYC, a volunteer run non-profit committed to connecting New Yorkers and New York institutions with Wikipedia, Wikimedia, and the larger free culture movement.

Luiza Wainer works as Metadata Librarian at Princeton University, where they are a part of the core group spearheading linked data initiatives in the Library. Up until this position, they have worked with cataloging and metadata in art institutions in Seattle, WA, and in São Paulo, Brazil. As a newly appointed member of the PCC Linked Data Advisory Committee and a general Wikimedia enthusiast, Luiza hopes to explore Wikidata as a platform for community engagement, social justice and linked open data.
