METRO’s Bibliographic Instructon SIG: Lesson Plan Lab – Wednesday, November 6

Got a great activity idea for library instruction? Want to get it “on its feet” and gather feedback from other teaching librarians? Or are you simply interested in learning more about how your Bibliographic Instruction SIG colleagues are approaching lesson design and facilitation? Come join us!

The plan is to break into small “fish bowl” groups to try out 10-minute versions of activities. Maybe you have a brand new idea, you’re trying to adapt something to a new context, and/or you want to try your hand at some new mode of facilitation. Bring in your lesson plan, along with any handouts or props you’ll need. Limited internet-connected laptops will be available. Finally, as a large group we’ll discuss lesson design/facilitation strategies, adaptation to teaching contexts, and various challenges and issues.

When: Wed 11/6 10am – 1pm
Where: METRO Training Center, 57 East 11th Street, NYC, 4th Floor
New York, NY 10003
United States
Cost: $5
