The NewRefWorks: Train the Trainers

This workshop will provide training in the new version of the popular citation management tool RefWorks, as well as discussion and support on strategies, tips, and practices for teaching RefWorks. We will only briefly touch on the transition from a�?Legacy RefWorksa�? to a�?New RefWorks.a�?

Getting Started with Mendeley, or, How To Organize all of those PDFs

Come learn about the citation management tool, Mendeley and how it will make writing orders of magnitude easier. I’ll introduce Mendeley, a tool that allows you to easily organize your PDFs, cite your sources, collaborate on research, create bibliographies, and never ever type out a reference again!

Zotero: Citation Management For the Masses

with Kim Detterbeck and Marie Sciangula (SUNY Purchase)

Zotero is a free, open source citation management tool that organizes research resources, facilitates in-text citation, fosters collaboration with other scholars, and quickly generates bibliographies. Zotero is not tied to any institution and is available to all at no cost. Attend this session to learn how to set up and work with Zotero so that you can share its benefits with colleagues/students and incorporate it into your instruction sessions.
