Scholastic – Newly Renovated Library & Archive

Scholastic Inc. has undergone a massive renovation of its headquarters, located in a historic SoHo building, which included significant improvements to its library and archive. The wide-scale revamping of their archive required handling every item in their collection onsite, which includes books, magazines, teaching materials, posters and audio-visual materials dating back to 1920. Scholastic has also relocated the library and its browsing collections to a beautiful new space just off a sixth-floor atrium. Innovative practices at Scholastic include a design collection developed by the library in collaboration with the company’s Design Forum, and a popular employee book club led by Senior Library Manager Deimosa Webber-Bey. Join us for a tour of the new spaces led by Deimosa, to be followed by discussion.

Photo ID and RSVP required. Limited capacity.
