Description: Lee Rainie, Director of the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, will discuss the Project’s findings about  how people gather, share, and create information on the internet and  with their mobile phones. He will describe how libraries can fit into the social networks that are the main social structures for learning and caring in the 21st Century. And he will describe the work that the  Project is doing with a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation about the role of libraries in the lives of their patrons and
communities.
