The George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida seeks applications and nominations for the position of Library Accountant 3. This highly responsible position reports directly to the Associate Director of Accounting and the Associate Dean for Administrative Services and Faculty Affairs. The Library Account 3 is responsible for assisting in managing the financial functions of the George A. Smathers Libraries consisting of five branch libraries as well as the Health Science Center Library and the Borland Library in Jacksonville. The annual budget in excess of $37 million includes approximately 25 salary accounts, 30 other personal services accounts, 17 departmental budgets and other special spending budgets. The Library Accountant 3 provides professional level accounting functions and requires attention to detail, self- direction and priority setting, exceptional judgment, unsupervised decision making, leadership, and the ability to work well under pressure.
