New York Institute of Technology seeks a part-time Librarian/evening on-call for the Manhattan Library. Reporting to the Director of Branch Services, the part-time Librarian will manage and maintain working order of the library and act as the solo evening reference librarian.
• Provide reference services to students, faculty and staff through one-on-one consultations (in person and online).
• Provide research instruction classes and workshops
• Supervise and train library assistants.
• Manage schedule for staff to be on duty on all three floors.
• Assist at the Innovation Labs.
• Oversee ILL and create and maintain subject guides.
• Trouble shoots computer and printers.
Hours: One night a week from 5-10pm and be on-call in the evenings.
MLS or MLIS required.
One to two years’ experience in an academic library preferred.
Experience with new Library technology.
Flexibility with schedule.
