Job Description:

The Electronic Resources Librarian maintains the Libraries’ electronic collections; investigates and evaluates new products; reviews and negotiates licenses; analyzes and collects usage data; updates library web page content; provides leadership with emerging information access technologies; trains staff in the use of e-resources and mobile technologies; manages SFX link resolver and Coral Electronic Resources Management systems; and provides reference and instructional services as needed. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

Required: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited school; a minimum of one year experience working in an academic or health sciences library; working knowledge of the issues in the selection and management of electronic collections; experience with MS Excel and Access.

Desired: Knowledge of the health care field and supporting electronic resources in the health sciences; experience with vendor relations; understanding of publishers’ licensing and business models; web 2.0 technologies; content management systems and Google Analytics knowledge; strong written and oral communication skills; teaching experience.
