Director / Senior Director of Development – University of Florida – Gainesville, FL

The University of Florida seeks a versatile and energetic Director / Senior Director of Development to design, implement and manage a fundraising and donor relations program for the George A. Smathers Libraries.  Serving as a senior member of the library administration, the Director / Senior Director of Development participates in strategic planning for development.  He/She works collaboratively with the library chairs and librarians, and has primary responsibility for directing library efforts that encompass gifts, donor stewardship, development of public support groups, fundraising event coordination and relations between the Libraries, the University of Florida Office of Development and Alumni Affairs. This position is responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and the stewardship of gift prospects and extensive travel is required.
