Opportunity: Kent State University seeks a collaborative and visionary academic leader to serve as Dean of University Libraries. The dean serves as principal administrator of the University Libraries system and the Kent State University Press. A nationally recognized academic library among the best in the world, University Libraries supports the research needs of students, faculty, alumni and local communities across Kent State’s eight-campus university system. University Libraries is a member of the Association of Research Libraries and a founding member of OhioLINK. The dean reports to the Executive Vice President and Provost.

Qualifications: Terminal degree (master’s degree from an accredited American Library Association program); a substantive record of scholarly and professional achievements; progressively responsible administrative experience in an academic or research library; distinguished professional experience; and an academic record sufficient to qualify for faculty appointment at a senior rank.
