Keynote Speaker: Jon Gertner, Journalist and author of the Idea Factory: Bell Labs and the great age of American innovation; Mr. Gertner will share his research of Bell Labs and how he told the story of this very complicated organization.
**Dr. Ronald Cook and Ms. Diane Campbell of Rider University: Using Government Information to Predict a Startup’s Potential; This session will discuss how business plan development helps entrepreneurs with a go/no go decision for a new business. The focus will be on how the use of various types of data provided by government resources can develop evidence to support a viable venture idea.
**Andrew Hait of the US Census Bureau: Census Business Builder: Small Business Edition; Mr. Hait will introduce and demonstrate the Census Business Builder: Small Business Edition, a tool specific designed for small businesses that presents key demographic and economic information from the Census Bureau as well as consumer spending data from a third party source.
**Ka-Neng Au of Rutgers University: Climb Every Mountain, Search High and Low; Mr. Au will reveal some less-common government sources of information on companies, industries, and international business.
