The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), an internationally renowned college of art and design, business and technology, of the State University of New York, invites nominations and applications for a full-time tenure-track non classroom faculty position in the Library at FIT. The Library at the Fashion Institute of Technology-SUNY seeks an energetic, creative, forward-thinking and service-oriented Assistant Head of Research & Instructional Services Librarian.

The Assistant Head of Research and Instructional Services (AHRIS) contributes to and supports the strategic initiatives and goals set by the Head of Research and Instructional services (HRIS). The AHRIS works closely with the HRIS to manage daily operations and instructional programming.

The AHRIS contributes to the Library’s mission to expand the instructional reach of the Library by planning, implementing, participating in and evaluating instructional programs and services. S/he reports to the Head of Research & Instructional Services (RIS). In absence of HRIS, the AHRIS is responsible for all aspects of managing the unit.
