In the era of increased attention to user experience, libraries of all types must be prepared to gather and analyze data on a variety of services, from instruction to reference desk interaction. This event will feature four library assessment projects. Our presenters will demonstrate qualitative and quantitative research methods, discuss infrastructure for managing data, give insight into their analysis project, and explain how their assessment findings were put into practice in their libraries.

Who should attend:
Librarians interested in developing and carrying out assessment projects (or have done so in the past)

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

Identify viable systems of measurement for library assessment projects
Use qualitative and quantitative methods for measuring library success
Plan and carry out a full-scale assessment of their libraries’ services
