About the Topic

Open Education Resources (OER) are — by definition — priceless.

Developing and promoting OER can be beneficial and rewarding for many, especially students. With the high cost of textbooks, OER can help cut the cost of education and provide students with free access to course materials not only during the course but after the course ends. OER are also ideal for sharing resources among institutions and showcasing faculty research and scholarly pursuits to a broad international audience.

Please join us for a panel discussion on OER on November 2 at METRO. Our panelists will help us define OER in the high ed environment, share their insights on building infrastructure for supporting OER initiatives, and give advice on communicating the value of OER to faculty, students, and staff.

Please bring your questions to this robust and forward-looking conversation!
